Summary: Just a little bit of very light reading. Perfect for when you've just finished reading pages and pages of angst.
The following is a little bit of fluff for readers who need or want a break from angst, real life, etc.
***
Clark dashed out of the room in his new costume and flew towards the Messenger Space Shuttle. He found Lois trying to poke something with a screwdriver and landed behind her. "What's the problem?"
"There's a bomb," she said, gesturing to the panel she'd been fiddling with.
Clark quickly assessed the situation, then snatched the bomb off the wall and swallowed it, much to Lois's surprise.
When Lois recovered, she looked at him carefully, and suddenly her eyebrows flew up. "Clark?!"
Clark blushed. "Yes. Is that a problem?"
"No, not at all," Lois said. "I knew there was something different about you. What's with that outfit?"
"Well," Clark shifted from foot to foot. "It's supposed to be a disguise."
Lois studied him and nodded. "It almost worked. You just need something…Maybe if you smoothed back your hair…" Lois reached out and pushed Clark's hair back against his head. "Yeah, that's much better."
Their eyes locked, and suddenly Clark felt compelled to say something. "Lois, will you marry me?"
The suddenness of the question took Lois back for a moment, but she quickly recovered and found herself saying, "Yes!"
The two flew off and lived happily ever after.
As for Lex Luthor, he decided to give up his worldly possessions and live a life of leisure in Brazil. He never harmed a fly after that, and the rest of the world never heard from him again.
