Summary: An LNC story in 55 words

Preface: I was recently at the library looking at short story books. One, "The World's Shortest Stories" caught my eye. Each story was only 55 words long. So, I decided to try my hand at it, and it was significantly harder than I had first thought it would be.

This is me, coming out of my lurkdom (yes, I have been around for awhile) to post a really short fanfic. If you count, which I'm sure some of you may, there are only 55 words (not including the title).

Comments and feedback are welcome…and if anyone else wants to try, I'd love to see what you come up with. And yes, the preface is longer than the story itself.

"What do you want?" She turned to face him.

"I want you." He was nervous, hands shoved in pockets, standing by her open window.

"How're you any different from other men I've dated?" She'd been hurt so many times, she was unsure what else to say.

He looked her in the eyes. "Could they fly?"
