Summary: Lois and Clark can't wait to unwrap each other's presents.
***
Clark opened the car door, placed the Christmas packages in the back seat, and proceeded to get in and start the car.
Lois hailed a cab. It came screeching to the curb. She opened the back door and placed the packages inside and sat down next to them.
Lois and Clark pulled up to their townhouse at about the same time. Each struggled with getting their packages out of the cars. They had split up earlier in the afternoon to go shopping. Mostly to buy each other's gifts.
"Well, hello, Beautiful," Clark said.
"Who me?" Lois laughed at her own joke. "How was your shopping trip, Handsome?" she asked, opening the front door to their home.
"I'm doing great," Clark said, smiling. "I finally got your gift."
"Lucky you! I got yours too."

Lois bounded down the stairs like she was a child again. Christmas morning had come and no matter how old she got, she still woke up at 4:30 to open presents.
Clark followed her down the stairs, wearing a robe opened with red boxers underneath.
"Clark, let me open yours. The one that you wouldn't let me open until last. Please?" Lois snuggled up against his warm body. They now sat on the floor in front of the Christmas tree, holding each other close. Wrapping paper engulfed them.
"Only if I get to open yours too."
"Okay."
Paper went flying, and boxes opened. Clark held up a set of Christmas pajamas. Lois held up the exact same pajamas, but smaller and shorter. They both paused, looking at each other.
"Did I ever tell you how I can never wait to use my new Christmas gifts?" Clark asked.
"No, but you can."
The couple raced upstairs, pajamas in hand …
