Balcony Scene Re-write

Summary: A humorous continuation of the episode "I'm Looking Through You," picking up after Lois says to Clark: "It seems we have something in common. You want to fly like Superman, and I want to fly with him."

In I'm Looking Through You there was a balcony scene that still puts a lump in my throat. You have the whole scene then Lois says, "Well, Clark, it seems we have something in common. You want to fly like Superman, and I want to fly with him." She lays her head on his shoulder and he looks up to the sky and …

grins and visibly relaxes as if he's just made a decision that took all the weight off his shoulders. He silently turns to Lois, takes her into his arms and leaps off the building. Lois naturally screams, and buries her head into Clark's shoulder. When the impact never occurs she chances a peek over Clark's shoulder. Realizing she's out of danger she comes up fighting.

"Clark! I can't believe you'd keep this from me! I told you about my romance novel. I've never told anyone about that, not even Perry. My paren…"

"Lois. You're babbling."

"I am? Oh, well, I'm sorry. But everything I've told you about Superman. You're my best friend. I've told you everything. Well not EVERYTHING"…(Clark lifts his eyebrows) … "but enough. I feel so humilia… "Hey, we're flying!" Lois reaches to take Clark's glasses off. "Clark! You're Superman."

Clark gives her a "glad you noticed" look, and says "You said you wanted to fly with me. We're flying anywhere you want to go."

Lois snuggles deeper into his shoulder and sighs contentedly.
